01Scope and controller
This Policy applies to XTIP websites, applications, APIs, directories, referral pages, dashboards and other services that link to it. “XTIP”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the operator of the XTIP Service. Because the operator’s legal entity and contact details may change as the project develops, the current support or legal contact channel shown in the Service is the appropriate channel for privacy requests.
XTIP is independent from X Corp. X’s own collection and use of data is governed by X’s privacy policy and terms, not this Policy.
02Information we collect
X account and profile data. When you sign in or connect X, we may receive your X user ID, username, display name, avatar or profile image, public profile URL, follower/following counts, account status and other profile metadata made available by X or authorized by you. We do not request or store your X password or private messages.
Wallet and transaction data. We may collect a wallet address, network, verification timestamps, signed verification messages, transaction hashes, token or tip records, amounts, status and related fraud or compliance signals. Public blockchain data may be permanent and visible to anyone.
Community and product data. We collect supporter numbers, ambassador or campaign participation, referral codes and visits, contribution events, preferences, support requests, device/browser information, IP address or approximate network information, timestamps, logs and security signals. We may derive hashed or pseudonymous identifiers to detect duplicates, abuse and referral fraud.
Information you provide. This includes information you submit in forms, messages, reports or support requests. Please do not send seed phrases, private keys, passwords or sensitive personal information.
03How we use information
We use information to provide, authenticate and secure the Service; connect your X identity; display profiles and network relationships; show supporter, ambassador and referral status; process or record tips when enabled; verify wallets; calculate activity metrics; prevent fraud, spam, manipulation and abuse; maintain logs and backups; operate, troubleshoot and improve the product; communicate with you about the Service; comply with law; enforce our Terms; and protect XTIP, users and the public.
We may combine information from these purposes and use aggregated or de-identified information for analytics, research, planning and public network statistics. We do not treat an activity score as a financial balance or use it to promise a return.
04X profile display permission
XTIP is a public-facing network. By connecting X and using features that create a public profile or membership record, you authorize us to store and display your avatar, display name, username, X profile link, follower count and related public profile metadata on XTIP pages, including the home network, supporter directory, member profile, ambassador pages, referral pages, rankings, campaign pages and product previews.
You grant XTIP a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, copy, resize, format, adapt and publicly display this information for operating, promoting and explaining the Service. This license continues while the information is needed for those purposes and for reasonable backup, security, dispute, audit or legal obligations after you disconnect, subject to applicable law and any removal request we can honor.
You remain the owner of your content and intellectual property. We may refresh, correct, hide or remove profile data when X or an authorized source changes it, when a profile becomes unavailable, or when we determine that display creates security, legal or integrity concerns.
05Sharing and service providers
We may disclose information to vendors that host databases, infrastructure, authentication, analytics, fraud prevention, blockchain or wallet integrations, customer support and security operations. These providers may process information only to provide services to XTIP and under appropriate contractual or technical controls where required.
We may disclose information when you choose a public feature; to comply with law, court order or valid legal process; to enforce the Terms; to detect or investigate fraud, security incidents or abuse; to protect rights, safety or property; or in connection with a merger, financing, restructuring, sale or transfer of the Service. We do not sell your personal information for money. Public blockchain records and publicly displayed profile data can be copied by others and cannot be fully controlled by XTIP.
We may process information in countries other than where you live. By using the Service, you understand that technical infrastructure and service providers may be located internationally; we use legally available transfer mechanisms where required.
06Retention and security
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain supporter and transaction history, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, comply with law, enforce agreements, maintain backups and protect the network. Retention periods vary by data type. Public blockchain records may be permanent; deleting an XTIP account cannot erase them.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards, including access controls, minimization, logging and security monitoring. No online service, wallet, API or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for securing your X account, email, devices and wallet. If we become aware of a legally reportable incident, we will provide notices required by applicable law.
07Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy of certain information, withdraw consent, or complain to a data-protection authority. These rights are subject to legal exceptions, identity verification, security needs and the permanent nature of public blockchain data.
You may disconnect X, stop using the Service, decline optional permissions and request correction or removal of profile information through the support or legal channel identified in the Service. We may retain a suppression record so that deleted information is not immediately recreated, and may retain records needed for fraud prevention, legal compliance, accounting, disputes or security.
When you submit a privacy request, we may ask for information necessary to verify that you control the relevant account. We will not ask for your password, seed phrase or private key. We aim to respond within the period required by applicable law.
08Cookies, children and changes
XTIP and its providers may use essential cookies, local storage, session identifiers and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, protect forms, measure use and detect abuse. Blocking essential technologies may prevent parts of the Service from working. Where required, we will request consent for non-essential technologies.
The Service is not directed to children below the minimum age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of that law. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us through the Service so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
We may update this Policy as the Service, law, data practices, integrations or business structure change. The updated version is effective when posted unless a later date is stated. Continued use after an update means you acknowledge the revised Policy. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent.
